March 8, 2010
If you follow my simple plan, you can get a weight loss belt to work for you. You remember those crazy contraptions of the 80’s that are still big sellers in the exercise world. Do they really work? Well, if you simply put them on, no they don’t and all you may get is a sweaty tummy.
There are a couple types of abdominal belts. You have one that administers an electric stimulus to your abdominal muscles making them contract and, in theory, build up the muscles’ strength in the process. The other ab belt is designed to place additional pressure on the abs during a workout, so it increases the effectiveness of the workout in the like a hand placed on the abs makes sit-ups and crunches more effective. This type of ab belt can also make the your abs to stay warm, which can help with weight loss and make workouts easier and have faster results. You can easily have the latter type and immediately use it to build up your abdominal workouts.
First get the measurements for your weight loss belt. It should be four inches longer than the widest area around your abdominal area. The width should be twice the value, plus 1 inch, of the area of your body that you want to cover with the ab belt. Note that before you go shopping. Generally, your tummy area is about six inches wide, so for the purpose of this example let’s assume that your piece of material for the belt will be 13 inches wide.
Stomach Belts are an interesting product in that they can provide a workout for the midsection while requiring very little effort from the user. Since the stomach is hard to tone, it’s likely that you will be interested in an abdominal belt shown to get results. At first glance, this product appears to be the real thing. The Everlast Sauna Belt designed to work the abs has a long history on the exercise circuit and was even used by many in Hollywood. However, we will still take a closer look at this ab belt to see how it is designed to work and what results you should expect to receive.
Tummy Belts are said to be quite easy to use. People merely strap it on, and do their workout or not. You must remember to contract your ab muscles each time you feel the belt. If you remember to do that, this thing will work like a charm. Ab belts are ubiquitously advertised as a great way to firm up your abs as you go about your daily routine. But do they really work, or are they merely hype that preys on the hopes of those who are looking for an easy way to get fit?
And there are a number of ab belts on the market today that claim to allow users to slim down without even breaking a sweat. Is it possible? Yes, but only if you do as I suggested and use the belt as a simple reminder to constrict your muscles. Otherwise, you are probably just wearing a girdle in fashion.
